Ready! Set! School! School Readiness Term 3

Welcome to Term 3 of our school readiness program! This term, we will be diving deeper into early literacy by introducing letter sounds in a more detailed way. Each week, educators will focus on approximately 2-3 letter sounds, with literacy lessons, storybooks, and craft or fine motor activities carefully designed to reinforce these sounds. In Mathematics, we will continue building on the foundational concepts of colour, shape, and number. Additionally, this term introduces new concepts such as symmetry and activities focused on understanding time. These key mathematical principles are essential for developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in young children and we are excited to offer a variety of engaging, hands-on experiences that make learning fun and meaningful. To cater to the diverse age groups within your centre, we are offering more differentiated activities, allowing for tailored learning experiences that suit each child’s individual stage of development.
